
Lincoln Borglum

James Lincoln de la Mothe Borglum, or Lincoln Borglum, was the son of Gutzon Borglum and Mary Montgomery Borglum.
As the son of the sculptor, Lincoln Borglum became heavily involved in the Mount Rushmore Memorial. Originally working for no pay, Lincoln not only became a part of the regular working crew, he also completed Mount Rushmore after his father's demise in 1941. Lincon Borglum also served briefly as the first Superintendent of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, carrying his father's vision from the stages of creation into the stages of administration and preservation.
